Packet Pick Up

You will receive the following: official "Color the Cavaliers" t-shirt (if registered before Sept. 19) and race wrist band.

Packet pick up is at College Park Campus morning of the race - opens at 8:00am

 

Rules and safety

• Be courteous and respectful!  Please be aware of other runners, especially those running with small children.

• Please follow directions provided by race officials and volunteers.

• Color packets can only be used in designated color stations - this will help the event organizers with clean up.  Anyone caught using color packets outside of color station areas will be escorted off campus.

• Wear sunglasses during the race to help prevent the color powder from entering your eyes.

• You can also wear a scarf or bandana to cover your hair or mouth.

• Do not bring your best clothes, $500 shoes, or anything that you do not want to get colored (i.e. camera, phone, music players)

 

Before the race

You may want to oil your hair using coconut oil or olive oil, to help make it easier to wash out color after the race.

Do not forget to pack:

• Garbage bags to protect your car seats after the race

• Paper or cloth towels

• A change of clothes/shoes (optional)

• Sunscreen

• Cash or Credit Cards

 

After the race

Concession items will be available

Dust off as much of the dry color powder as you can before applying any water.

Cleaning your hair:  rinse out the oil you wisely applied before the race, then wash normally.  It is not uncommon for hints of color to stick around for a few washes.

Color will probably not completey wash out of your "Color the Cavaliers" t-shirt...WEAR IT PROUD!  (You can ensure the color will stay by spraying the shirt with vinegar before putting it in the wash ).

Oxiclean, or a similair product, will work on other running equipment to get color out.

 

Weather policy

We will do everything in our power to hold the event as scheduled.  However, excessive heat, wind, or rain can cause us to reschedule the event.  The make up date is October 18th, 2014

Parking will be available at The Woodlands (Fellowship) Church on Fellowship Drive.
